WARDOGS PS5 & Xbox Status: Every Official Console Signal

Is WarDogs coming to PS5? No official announcement has been made. However, developer BULKHEAD said in a video in early March 2026 that it plans to bring the game to PlayStation and Xbox: “We're coming to console. That's our plan, we just don't know when”, as reported by GameWatcher. There is no date and no store listing.

When is the WarDogs PS5 release date? Unknown. No date, window, or formal platform announcement exists. The only officially confirmed platform release is PC Early Access, which launched on September 10, 2026 on Steam.

The same distinction applies to the Wardogs Xbox release date. Xbox is part of BULKHEAD's stated console plan, but the developer has not supplied a launch window, and Team17's current press listing names Steam as the release platform. A plan is meaningful evidence of intent; it is not the same thing as a dated publishing announcement.

• PC Early Access: September 10, 2026. WARDOGS launched on that date. The release appears on the official Steam store page and in Team17's press and creator hub. Team17's press hub currently lists Steam as the platform.
• Developer and publisher: WarDogs is developed by BULKHEAD, the studio behind Battalion 1944, and published by Team17.
• Core game: WarDogs is a 100-player, three-team tactical FPS set on a destructible battlefield. BULKHEAD has committed to no battle pass and no pay-to-win elements.

None of those confirmed PC details supplies a WarDogs console launch date. The official Steam listing remains the place to verify the September Early Access release, while Team17's press hub currently lists WARDOGS under Steam rather than PlayStation or Xbox.

In a developer video from early March 2026, BULKHEAD addressed console players directly:

“We absolutely want to come to Xbox and PlayStation… Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you guys. We're coming to console. That's our plan, we just don't know when.”

That statement was reported by GameWatcher on March 4, 2026 and is the closest thing to a console confirmation that exists. It gives players a direct statement of intent from the developer rather than a rumor or an assumption based on genre.

Note what it is not: it is not a Team17 release announcement, it gives no date or window, and there is still no PlayStation Store or Xbox Store listing. Until one of those concrete signals appears, “planned” is the accurate label for the Wardogs console version and “not announced” is the accurate answer for its release date.

The Wardogs Xbox release date has not been announced. Team17's press hub currently lists only Steam, and there is no Xbox Store page, formal Xbox announcement, or release date.

BULKHEAD did say in its March 2026 video that PlayStation and Xbox are part of the studio's console plan: “We're coming to console. That's our plan, we just don't know when.” That is direct evidence of developer intent, but it is not an official platform announcement or a timetable. Until Team17, BULKHEAD, or Xbox publishes one of those concrete signals, the accurate Xbox status is planned by the developer with no announced date.

Treat the statement above as an intention, not a guarantee. BULKHEAD's previous game, Battalion 1944, was also announced for consoles. The console version was later cancelled, and the developer issued full refunds to Kickstarter backers. Development plans can change, which is why this page tracks concrete publishing signals instead of converting an early intention into a promised release.

That history does not prove WarDogs will repeat the same outcome. It simply shows why a developer quote, a publisher announcement, a platform store listing, and a release date belong in different evidence categories. We will report each step when it happens without inventing a 2027 date or any other unsupported window.

Bookmark this page if you are waiting for a WarDogs PS5 release date or Wardogs Xbox release date. We will update it the same day any of these signals appears:

• Team17's official WARDOGS page or press hub mentioning PlayStation, Xbox, or a console date.
• PlayStation Store or Xbox Store listings going live, which would provide direct platform-level confirmation.
• ESRB or PEGI ratings for console versions, which commonly appear as games move closer to a platform release.
• A BULKHEAD or Team17 announcement giving any console date, year, season, or release window.
